That it seems nobody wants to sell you anything anymore. Now, they want to rent you things. A car? TV? Fridge? A BBQ grill?...Everything has to be connected. Everything has to be "smart". Which means you have to open an account online and click ok on the "Terms and Conditions" page before you can use the thing you supposedly bought. You can't even fix it yourself if it breaks. And while you're using it, they collect data on every microsecond of use to sell to third parties.

Misinformation = anything that even slightly contradicts the official government/media version.

The vaccines were released to the public barely a year ago. There is no way to know exactly how safe or effective they are, supposing they are. We just don't have the data yet. What we have, however, is an aggressive censorship of any information or person critical of the vaccines.

There is a big difference between Scientists and Political Activists with science degrees.

The Covid vaccine does not work by directly stimulating the immune system, like all other vaccines do. Instead, it inserts synthetic molecules into some cells, turning them into little machines that constantly produce a toxin that is released into the blood stream. The immune system is supposed to learn to fight this toxin. This has NEVER before been done in any other vaccine. We could speculate for hours about what could go wrong, but for the moment lets just say that myocarditis and blood clots are definitely NOT mild side effects.

Then again, those 1/500 are old age or with existing debilitating health conditions. The rest of the people have a close to zero chance of dying from Covid. It is not a great idea to expose them to that 1/17000 chance of getting an unnecessary heart condition that will affect them for life. And remember, myocarditis and blood clot issues are secondary effects we know about now. The vaccine was invented and released very recently and there is no way to know the long term effects. And don't forget, this vaccine works with a brand-new genetic technology never before released to the public.

I would pay a premium for NOT having all the extra electronics --a computer that controls the computer of the computer, a large TV on the dash, a car that only the dealership can fix because they are the only ones who have the equipment to read the codes, everything by wire...I prefer a car that lets me stranded in the road for something I can usually figure out and repair myself, instead of a car that just stops running and has to be towed directly to the dealership for service.

Luck happens to everyone all the time. Whether it is good luck or bad luck, pretty much depends on what you do with it when it happens to you.

Remember that all we know are the immediate effects of the vaccine. The long term effects are not known, as this vaccine has been out a mere 7 or 8 months and is still on clinical trials.

1st place: Printed. Because nothing beats the printed page.

Close 2nd place: e-ink. But unfortunantely there doesn't seem to be in the market an e-ink device of a decent size and price.

Far down 3rd place: tablets, phones or any light emmitting display device, because if I must stare at a screen for hours I'd watch TV.

A special recognition to ebooks for having the unique advantage of allowing easy search of word definitions, highlighting, bookmarking, and for the access they provide to the super large library of free books out there.

I guess it's a good thing to have AP, youtube, CNN, etc. tell us that what we saw with our own eyes is not what we saw with our own eyes. That statistical impossibilities don't matter when the right candidate ends up winning. That asking questions is not allowed. I wish I could refer you to contrary views about the election, but as you've probably heard, anything different from the official version is banned for your own protection, like youtube banned Giuliani. Maybe you think this is a hurt right-winger writing, but believe me, it does not matter if your preferred candidate took the election or not, you must always demand clean elections. A government that is elected by means of fraud will not respect any of us, regardless of our ideals.

Giuliani can be all the crazy he wants to be. That still does not change the fact that the votes that gave Biden the election came by the hundreds of thousands, out of nowhere, after 400 AM, when the counting was supposedly stopped for no reason, long after all election observers and the press had been escorted out of the building...

Science is always inconclusive. Theories are not theorems; everything is open to questioning, no matter how much sense it seems to make. That is why science advances, to begin with. And yet, people are told (mostly by politicians with agendas) that they are supposed to "believe" science, which of course means to believe the latest a scientist said.

No, don't teach the young that they need to believe science. Teach them to question it, always. And to question it in a formal, disciplined and rational way, even if they agree with what is being said. Especially on issues like anthropogenic climate change, where the implied solution is to surrender individual freedoms to a omni-powerful faceless government that is supposed to protect us all.

To innovate you usually have to throw away something old that is still working well. That is not so easy to do. That is why innovation usually comes from those who don't have anything valuable they need to throw away.

Here's a tip that will make you look like a professional writer instantly: search your text for the words "actually" and "actual" and delete them all to hell. No need to revise anything, just delete them -they are useless and are on the way. Bonus tip to native English speakers (non-natives for some reason don't seem to make this mistake): don't use "then" where you should use "than". I also have a pet peeve with American women trying to talk an octave lower than their natural voice, but that'll be a comment for another article.
