This is a spectacular example of where “DevOps” as a team goes wrong. DevOps is not a team, it’s a relationship between developers and operations (and hopefully others) to align to deliver business value. Just as there are no “Agile developers”, no person should be referred to as a DevOps (it’s awkward even linguistically).
