> PriceRunner is considered to have suffered damage as a result of Google having illegally favoured its price comparison service for many years

Why would Google NOT favor it's own service at it's own product? How is that illegal?

> LLMs are as good as almost any security researcher, and anyone4 can run them.

What is this, rage bait? It's bullshit, and insulting to actual security researchers.

That might be true for low-effort vulnerabilities and fake security researchers, but the real security researchers are far from being replaced by LLMs.

This is so lame. It's not up to you to define what's a "real hacker". Building and breaking are not exclusive to each other.

Cool, I got "The Lean Startup" as a gift, but haven't read it yet.

Who is the target audience for your books? Is it founders? Or is it for people who want to be founders?

Yes, iPhone has some clever depth technologies, but that doesn't mean it can't be tampered with.

That won't work, a camera can also photograph another screen or a fake printed photo. And also cryptographic modules can be cracked.

Google doesn't need to that because Google is not affected by any anti-scraping provisions, every website literally begs Google to get scraped.

Trademark infringement seems to be rising these days, thanks to AI slop. Surprisingly, the domain registrars and hosting providers don't really seem to care much about these issues.

To takedown something that is infringing your brand, you would have to spend time and money dealing with bureaucratic procedures.

> Several live mobile apps serving hundreds of thousands of users

It seems like he's having a database for each app.
_el1s7

Ah yes that's probably true, but still having 30 apps in a single db instance doesn't seem better...

  > 30 MySQL databases (248 GB of data)
  > 34 Nginx virtual hosts across multiple domains
  > GitLab EE (42 GB backup)
  > Neo4J Graph DB (30 GB graph database)
  > Supervisor managing dozens of background workers
  > Gearman job queue
  > Several live mobile apps serving hundreds of thousands of users
He's doing all of that on a single server?!

I'm not against vertical scaling and stuff, but 30 db instances in one server is just crazy.
