AveryIQ (YC W24) | Staff Software Engineer | Remote | Full-time

AveryIQ is a full-stack property management platform competing against Appfolio, Yardi, Entrata. We think property management is a domain that is underserved by AI currently, and has so much potential for improving the experience for both tenants and landlords alike. This is a multidisciplinary domain, touching everything from payments and accounting to computer vision and complex workflows.

What we're looking for:

- Strong product design sense and a drive to see features built end-to-end with little guidance in a remote environment

- Experience with building robust systems, fully tested and reliable. (We move hundreds of thousands of dollars per month and cannot afford to make mistakes)

Tech stack: Bun/Hono, TypeScript, NextJS, React Native mobile app.

Open role highlights:

- Full stack engineer works across front-end, back-end, mobile.

If you're interested in joining our team, please reach out to info at averyiq.com with a 1 minute video introducing yourself and talk about any familiarity you have with the real estate domain. You can also send a resume, but under no circumstances send any AI-generated content. It will be immediately deleted. Anybody that takes time to send a video will get a response.

I'd like to start or contribute to a philanthropic effort to see the pickup truck and SUV arms race fought somehow. I think the strongest avenue, at least in the USA, would be better litigation and direct criminal responsibility for those that own them and are negligent in their operation (cell-phone use, speeding, illegal lift-kits, etc).

Does anybody know of such a nonprofit or organization that is currently making meaningful progress here that I can contribute to?

Libraries around me have just become a homeless shelter. Pretty sad because the buildings themselves are actually quite nice and I'd use them often if it weren't for the high likelihood of being harassed.

“We can’t determine which of our users is a US citizen”

Logical next move — “we’re requiring ID.gov identity verification to use our services”

It’s all about spying on users, Don’t let anybody kid you into thinking it’s anything else

AveryIQ | Austin, TX | Engineering & Sales | averyiq.com

AveryIQ is a completely vertical, all-in-one agentic property management firm. We are building our own software that can answer tenant questions, do payments and accounting, and handle repairs. We run operations for many multifamily rentals around Texas, and scaling nationwide.

- Our stack is Bun / Hono / Next / Expo

- We are YC-backed (W'24)

- Strong engineering/builder culture.

- Prefer Austin in-person, but open to extremely talented remote folks in timezones adjacent to CST.

I got sick of answering the same property management questions over and over again for my rental properties, and am finally building a modern, fully-fledged property management system, AveryIQ - https://averyiq.com

Appfolio, TurboTenant, Innago, etc. are just an extra chore, they don't actually help you do the work. AveryIQ is an extension of your communication channels - it handles everything from email, SMS, and voice calls. The idea is that you could go on vacation for a month and a moderately-sized long term rental portfolio could run itself. You get texted once a week for the important decisions (work order vendor bid approvals, lease signatures, etc.)
