No. The story I read was for "Interim Top Secret". If you have a clear National Agency Check (arrest and convictions), and do not flag as a drug user / mental case, then you can be given an "Interim Top Secret" while waiting for the clearance adjudication. Does not allow access to SCI, or NATO Cosmic, but does allow access to regular Top Secret. There is also an "Interim Secret". Over 90% of the people with interim clearances are positively adjudicated.
Normal thing. Provided they are using the same criteria for the Interim Clearances.
The 'brand' of the FBI is worthless. For half of the country it was investigating the criminal.
For the other half of the country it is the result of the purge.
No-one will trust the FBI from here on out.
Need to delete it and re-create the function with a different name.
I am 62 years old. What is the number 1 discussion topic with my retired colleagues?
How to minimize taxes in retirement. (the RMD causes panic because if forces taxation). Many get a pension, social security, have a 401k, paid off house, and savings. Not everyone needs social security.
Oh, but they did.
Trump has been spewing out his plans for 10 years. His inability to understand complex situations, lack of world knowledge, ignorance of history.
The voters knew exactly what they were voting for.
Googling for statistics was difficult. Lots of month to month 'headlines', but the averages were difficult to determine. Highly variable.
Best I can come up with is last year 250,000 non citizens were removed from the US. (deported? i think that is the word). This excludes those turned away at the border, or not allowed in after contact with a border agent (not an expert, this is inferred by reading a couple of pages). 685 per day, every day.
Take 30 million eligible. That would take about 120 years.
Even doing it over 10 years would require increasing the current effort by a factor of 12.
No way the government can expand enough, and allocate enough resources to make that happen. Double or triple the current pace, maybe.
It is going to take a long time.
(personal opinion: criminals, send them back. immigrants committing fraud, send them back. people working and being part of society, make them a pathway to citizenship or legal residence. close the border to un monitored crossings)
there is a bit of sarcasm in there, but most server and desktop machines stay on all the time. Amortized over 1000 days of uptime, that 30 second boot time is not worth messing with.
There are many multi user systems still in use. Think HPC, universities, places where the security requirements do not allow code / data to be shared by access from a users laptop.
Operations vs. Development. Operations is much more likely to be multi-user.
The conspiracy I follow is systemd is the result of a bunch of noobs trying to duplicate the Mac experience on linux.
Such as the focus on laptop over traditional multi-user systems. And a desire to minimize boot time.
