https://gymify.it to seamlessly integrate exercise into daily life, rather than rigidly scheduling and compartmentalizing it. Small exercise sessions of 1-2 minutes throughout the day clear my head, give me fresh ideas, and keep me in shape. I'm building this site as a tool to keep track in a pressure-free way and to discover new exercises. It's partly about social accountability and one of the key ideas is to see what people do and don't do in terms of exercise.

Yes, personally, this works very well for me for any exercise. To get better at pull- and push-ups, I just do lots of them and rarely ever go to my limits. I look at training as practice. My aim is to be comfortable with pull- and push-ups, pistol squats, etc. Focus on process rather than outcome.

It's good to hear that there are gym trainers who advocate for this. From what I've seen, this approach seems to go contrary to popular belief and some people tend to be quite adamant about it, insisting on specific routines, splits, and rest days, but it's how I went from not being able to do a single push-up to effortlessly doing 10 consecutive one-arm push-ups. I just practice.

I argue that taking a minute or two every hour or so to do a few reps of an exercise clears people's thinking, lends perspective, provides fresh ideas, is great for general mental health, and hence, makes people more productive and happier than sitting for 8 hours or more and going to a gym after.

Small training sessions at work, throughout the day, are also great to build a strong team spirit and feel pumped all day. Unfortunately, people tend to rigidly compartmentalize rather than seamlessly integrate physical activity into their lifestyles.

I stopped going to the gym years ago, because it took up too much of my time. It's how I train these days. It definitely works for me. I do micro-sessions of high resistance, high contraction variations throughout the day and am in the best shape of my life. Plus it clears my thinking and gives me fresh ideas. So I was just wondering if other people have similar experiences.

I think the idea is awesome and has potential. The name could be catchier though. Personally, I would also prefer a web app.

It's tough to get a social network or community off the ground without any existing base. Facebook took off because they digitalized existing social networks. Reddit was seeded with content posted by its creators using multiple accounts.

Maybe you could figure out a way to make it valuable as a single-player tool first, and when you have enough single-players, the multiplayer network comes alive.

I haven't tried your app, because I avoid anything Android or iOS, but to me the idea sounds like something worth pursuing.
