not to be antagonistic but are we paid to learn stuff or to build stuff? I think it's the latter. if we have to learn something it's only so that we can build something in the end.

no, letting misinformation persist is counterproductive because of the illusory truth effect. the more people hear it, the more they think (consciously or not) "there must be something to this if it keeps popping up"

It can be up to 30% if they freeze your account for "suspicious activity." This is currently happening to someone I know who's had all of their November sales frozen. They say Stripe might return 70% of the funds... in February. They're trying to reach a human but no luck so far.

Don't forget how your knowledge becomes out of date with frightening speed. I can read a novel and that knowledge will be good for decades. Documentation on your favorite web framework? 6 months if you're lucky.
