Why is it called euthanasia, when the bees cannot give consent? Isn't this just "Killing a dangerous hive"? I get it sounds less nice, but saying "euthanizing" is just deceitful language. Words have meaning.
You could write your password on a piece of paper and give it to family that you trust. When you pass away, and they inherit your computer they can use that password to login to your keepass.
There is no algorithm of truth, and with enough data you can arrive at any conclusion you like. Maybe people should be better educated, instead of machines becoming smarter.
Urine attracts ticks and wet loin cloths can cause skin damage. Though for the erection part, erections are linked to the parasympathetic nerve system, which is fully active during sleep.(Which is why it's hard for men to get erections when they're chronically stressed)
> secushare is a research project that hasn't reached prototype status, yet. Consider that it basically consists of a new Internet stack combined with a full-fledged distributed scalability alternative to cloud technology. The challenge is so big, please be patient that we're not done quite yet.
(I agree that the homepage is not clear at all btw)
Imagine the apes said it's foolish to invest in making hides from animals, that we shouldn't invest in the technology and just stay in Africa, as opposed to migrating to Europe, which is too cold for humans to live in.
I believe it states the price of the aluminum is $3/kg, as opposed to the more expensive zirconium. I don't think they'd know the price of the finished MOF at this stage.
You're confounding affluence with the difference between physical/mental labour. I've done both hard physical labour and hard mental labour, and what OP says is totally spot on. Hard physical work, even when excruciatingly tough, is most often more bearable than hard mental work. There's nothing like beig 'done' after a hard day of work. After a hard day of mental work you just feel miserable until you fall asleep. If only manual laborers were appreciated (i.e. compensated) as much as mental laborers...
His argument does not need beneficial mutations to work. Merely the change in the proportion of gene expression can have profound consequences. Take the breeding of dogs for example. This kind of selection is what he refers to when he talks about bottlenecks, wars, and famine. Small groups with beneficial gene selection could've easily taken over during great changes in societal structure. The idea that evolution can go very fast is pretty well founded in (I forget the name) the idea that you have large stretches of minimal, small improvements, interpuncted by short disruptive events of large improvements/readaptation to a new environment.
Our dog had wildly differing faeces, in color and consistency. It wasn't healthy. Switched to grain-free feed that's just a tad more expensive than normal feed and she has been healthy ever since, more energetic too.
There's a real threat in Google (Youtube) controlling what is shown on their platforms. We might be informed and willing to try alternatives, but the masses don't (yet). This gives Google enormous propoganda power, and it is clear they already use this power to further their own agenda. It's not about freedom of speech, it's about deplatforming: the ability for your speech to be heard by the masses. The argument that you can just go elsewhere is like saying you can hang up your manifesto in the forest instead of on the church door.
That's very workable.Any agent should have a private key with which it signs it's pushes. Age of an agent and score of feedback for that agent determine its ranking.Though that still leaves gaming possible with the feedback. But heavy feeback like "this is malicious content" could be moderated. (So that people cant just report stuff they don't like).
> If a function description includes an "and", it's wrong
Unless you have procedures.
Also, the 'don't add boolean switches' doesn't count for Powershell, as you can use named switches that are false if not added. For other languages you could add constants
I understand the benefits of having multiple independent encyclopedias, but one downside would be it going overboard and turning into a virtual library of babel.
There's a difference between a software firm that has the infrastructure to develop new products and a, for example, financial firm, that will consume products and maybe tie all of that together with their own custom solution. If it already exists, and being consumed and actively developed, it's way more efficient to just buy a license than to create your own solution.
