You would think Digital Ocean being a cloud hosting provider they could do email themselves, secure customer data and not provide it to third parties. Great write up though.
Mobs have been around forever before computers. Throughout all of human history. Looking at it from a positive view, at least people aren’t stoned to death anymore.
For most using HN, the standard of living is likely better than all the pharaohs and kings of the past by a considerable margin. Gratitude is important, all the rest is relative.
Maybe:
- Password manager compromised
- Personal details - mobile, email, flagged with third party fraud checker
- IP flagged (access via vpn, same network something happening)
