I wonder if/how they normalized the cellphone population across a 3 year interval. iOS and Android have been expanding tracking protections so that could bias the measurements.
Forced software/hardware downgrade to receive vehicle repair is such tyranny.
Do owners that bought a car with a radar-based safety system have any recourse if they don't consent to the software & hardware disable of the radar system?
This algorithm change has resulted in dramatically lower estimates for my area.
Previously I assumed Redfin's estimates were trustworthy trailing averages. Now I realize they are very opinionated or perhaps even trying to shift buyer/seller expectations in a particular direction. I wonder what the success metrics are for their algorithm?

These devices make home cooking faster and more predictable. No more burnt pots to to scrub. Much easier to try new recipes and repeat previous successes.
Lowering the effort of home cooking has enabled me to eat healthier and spend less on takeout.
Imagine you worked at Google. Imagine you were tasked with building this website as quickly as possible.
You have available internal tools designed to work with Google accounts. These tools have already been tested and validated. They have already gone through some level of security and privacy review. They have already scaled to high QPS production uses.
I believe the fate of Android Wear style smart watches is highly intertwined with the proliferation and usefulness of 'contextual computing' (Google Now, etc).
Glanceable cards afford great tolerance for false positives. Combining this with advances in activity detection, indoor location tracking, and IoT opens the door for a new generation of personalized software well suited for casual wearable interaction. However it remains to be seen if the economics are there to create this brave new software ecosystem.
I'd argue there is huge value in app controlled 'home environment' devices (light color & brightness, music, air/heat/fan, etc). When the software controls are sufficiently convenient, adjusting the environment becomes an automatic behavior like scratching an itch or shifting in one's seat.
I do not know how graceful falling back is in web development, but there are some non-graceful holes in what can be accomplished with Android compatibility libraries
The biggest design-impacting issues I've encountered are the absence of expandable or interactive notifications pre 4.1 and limitations in styling/visualizing list selection states pre 3.0
