The VP told me that his friend was going to be signed, because there were issues having him as a contractor. (Actually he is quite old and should be retired). But he never mentioned that he was taking the senior SW engineer position.
One day, just by chance, I discovered that the senior position had been cancelled, talking with HR people. And, as you could imagine, I got really angry!
Obviously every alternative has its own (dis) advantages.
If you want other's money you need to convince them. That means a lot of extra work writing plans, and when you receive the money you are inmediately diluted.
For that reason I always pursue ideas I can start developing on my own... And it is then when I find my main weak point: I don't have enough time...
When I realised I would be "poor" all my life working for others, and reckoned I should try to pursue my business ideas.... It turned up I already have two kids and my daily costs are too high to leave my current job.
My case is a bit weird cause I have way more followers on Instagram than in the social media where I share the links.
Lately I am sharing them in:
- Reddit (own subreddit) and later I crosspost to relevant subreddits.
- Facebook Page
- Twitter
- Linkedin "Company" Page:
For these last three I use a wordpress plugin that repost automatically the old content from time to time. Honestly, the strategy is not yet providing many followers.
I would wonder if I really want to write a blog (where people arrives, typically by chance, and never goes back) or build an online app (where people go back because it is useful for them).
