There's a comparison page: https://docs.deno.com/runtime/desktop/comparison/

And you can embed anything on the binary with `deno desktop --include […]`.

From what I understood, what you want is `deno desktop --include […]`.

> Includes an additional module or file/directory in the compiled executable.

"Ser Papi" is such a great name for a Mexican bling rap artist

Pierre didn't shutdown, they said they just paused signups on the code review app to focus on the code storage service.

Productizing the building blocks of the platform seems like the smart play in today's environment honestly.

Every app Replay Software makes is a masterclass in design and functionality.

Really interesting to see a high quality terminal for iOS finally exist.

Decent is a positive adjective [0]. My comment was not a complaint, I am glad to see Safari improve.

There was no snark in my comment, I genuinely think it's a good thing that Safari is becoming better every day. I am using Safari right now and have been using it as my main browser for a long time. Mind you I've been building for the web for 19 years at this point and I have seen it all.

It's a sad state of affairs when one can't make a positive comment without triggering someone to look for the spice take hidden between the lines.

It's so good to see Safari steadily making progress on being a decent browser.

Does "Find All References opt+shift+F12" function help mitigate this for you? It opens a buffer that you can use to navigate, and it's a built-in feature not an extension.

Or do you want a more graphical tree view?

That would be an interesting plugin to write…

Their extensions API is still a bit lacking, but Jupyter support in the style of vscode should be possible with the current capabilities.

By the same logic, why bother with capital letters then?

It sounds like you lack a Staff engineer that can be your number 2 on the team.

It's invaluable to have someone that can champion these technical aspects of the job. It doesn't mean that you need to relinquish all technical work to them, but having someone you can trust to keep the team technically solid and keep you in the loop when you inevitably have to focus on non-technical stuff, is key to a high performant team in my experience.

That sounds like more of a tech lead role than EM. Nothing wrong with that, it's good that you found a way to balance it.

If you want to continue on the manager path, I'd suggest leaning into that area of weakness and trying to improve it as much as you can. At Director+ levels, these skills are non-negotiable.

The way I frame it is less of rollback, more of bisect: If I have to use `git bisect` to find a problem's root cause, will this commit be enough?

Make it bisectable and life will be easier down the line.

Well… kinda. There is this new project called `verso` that from my understanding is coming from the Tauri team (but weirdly is in another org in GitHub): https://github.com/versotile-org/verso

Seem _very_ early days so who knows if it will have legs.
