Quite a bold statement that it is like that to lock in users. I highly doubt that. This is rather negligence as Apple still has a hard time to catch up with the main product features.
Highly disagree. Usually developers are utter crap in design and cannot do it appropiately in context (he makes <40k per month with the website).
The design is okay and due to the inefficiencies he spent too much. But with a better process in place he would have gotten a very good deal from that agency.
You don't seem to factor in the glycemic index. If someone spreads such meals over the day, it keeps spiking blood sugar levels (potatoe meals have a high glycemic load) and realsing lots of insulin. That doesn't sound too efective for weightloss.
