Same. You can always tell how is going to be the weather by yourself. Depending on how much time have you lived in the same place you can predict the weather for the day when you get up or, if you are a completely stranger to the environment, at least half an hour before.
Traveling as tourist sucks, you go in “tours” looking everything from outside, expecting the end of it. But what can you do when you only have limited holidays for vacation, your little time free from work (which is your main activity.) Off-course you are not traveling like as nomad people do, it is leisure for you.
Tourism is a big economic chunk, the places you are going are counting on your money (that you got by working.) You are spending it for everything.
Moving from one place to another, riding some transport machinery that your own body can assimilate as fast, staying for less time that would take you to walk there and quickly moving back. A glimpse of time spend, the fading memory.
Experience something different from home, so similar to make sense and respond to the surroundings as you normally would. Partly because you are not giving up you life, your comfort, for such moment.
At the end is your break time, when you rest from the exigencies of your routine.
For me was Stephen Buhner's Plant Intelligence and the Imaginal Realm. It changed my perception and gave explanations of things I only knew intuitively. Highly recommended.

I remember the Giraffe game to learn it.
