Apart from getting inspired (like other replies have mentioned), there is plenty of insight to be obtained from watching sports. It is quite fun to observe and analyze the strategy and technical aspects of a sport - especially a sport that you play and train yourself. If someone never partakes in that sport, then yes - they may not necessarily understand the subtleties that happen in a particular move. But even if you're a hobby player, watching top pro athletes or teams utilize the techniques you are learning can make you appreciate the amount of work, skill, practice, and determination that goes into it. And that can be useful for people to apply in other areas of their lives.

Agreed. Memes have a highly limited shelf life. Two things guarantee a rapid death of a meme: going mainstream, and attempting to revive one after its viral cycle is over. As such, they should ideally only be used in either 'ephemeral' and/or 'niche' media. Permanent media should stick to simplicity because it is timeless.

There are a couple of other sentences as well that stood out to me. The overall apologetic tone, language, and phrases used in the email have some subtleties that are hard to imagine being used by a native Indian speaker, or by someone raised in India. It starts making more sense if you re-read it applying a western lens, i.e., how a westerner would imagine an Indian scammer to write, without being exposed to the nuances you find in regular Indian communication. What I'm trying to say is that if you're a native speaker of any Indian language, it is not difficult to see if a sentence originated by "thinking" in English vs in the native language:

"no other choice"

"the fact is"

"no other way to survive"

"we are begging you"

Here's the full text of the spammer's email:

> Hello. Unfortunately, negative feedback about your establishment has been left by us. And will appear in the future, one review a day. We sincerely apologize for our actions, and would not want to harm your business, but we have no other choice. The fact is that we live in India and see no other way to survive. Seems like a publicity stunt. The scammer's email reads quite unauthentically - like someone was contracted out to run this campaign. "After selling this gift card, we can earn approximately $50, which is three weeks income for one family."

...yeah, hard to believe this message was written organically. Use a few soundbites like these, get some articles published mentioning a counter-movement to leave 5-star reviews. Smart business.

Or TP for the initial cleanup. Water to finish it off. And if you're not in public restrooms: use your hand with the water for a deeper clean, and then walk to the sink to wash the hand with soap. Much more hygienic than just TP.

Off topic, but it always amazes me how often I see Gandhi misspelled as Ghandi. I'm not American, so I am curious if they always teach this wrong spelling in schools? Check the other replies here. OP literally quoted the right spelling but still misspelled it later.

And rightfully so. Don't forget that Biden winning wasn't a sure thing - so it's not like they were waiting until Biden won to announce it. The CEO specifically mentioned in September that they refused R&D money from the US Government in order to protect themselves from being politicized. In that vein, it was the right thing that the announcement was made (intentionally or not) after the election was concluded to minimize this news being politicized.

Of course, do you think they would be hurting for money once they have a vaccine developed? The demand will always be there. They just took the risk with their own money. They have been in the business for decades and they know how to sell a prized drug - with or without a buyer already lined up. A commitment to purchase doesn't mean much in a "seller's market". It will be profitable for the company either way - with or without a pre-contract.
