A friend's iPhone 6 felt slow as molasses. I downloaded cpudasher after reading the reddit thread: CPU clocked at 700MHz (vs original 1400Mhz). No wonder it feels like a turd.
Where are folks buying replacement batteries?
I have gone through 4-5 on eBay between fakes or used genuines, and gave up.
Is there a good OEM source or are they generally off-brand?
I would also replace mine if I could get my hands on one I trust.
Around the time this was coming up in the big reddit thread, I also saw cases of Macs with either a 'service battery' or removed battery also suffer slower speeds.
You should replace the battery to return full performance.
Your app looks great on paper so I downloaded it from the app store.
It requested me to allow location access, even while in the background.
This is a deal breaker for me for battery life and privacy, so I will not be able to use it.
Edit: Upon checking in settings, I can choose "while using the app only". I understand you probably prompted with "while in the background" to improve your crowdsource data.
I'm glad I will still be able to use it, thanks for allowing this!
