Start reading something else.
You focused too much on money and little on anything else. I was asking myself days ago how some people make so much money and I dont. But I forgot what I have and others dont. I'm your complementary. I started 10 years ago when I dropped out and started travelling and reading everything. I know everything I wanted to know. But we cant have everything. At least one thing you can do now is to pay someone you choose to give you what you lack.
The question is only about you. If you have money, you can do what you want next. But if you dont, stick to a job that gets you closer to where you want to go.
I dont trust certifications.
I am in your situation. I've been working on a MVP and I'm close to release this software.
But I met an investor, interested to invest, who asked me if I have a team or any plans. So they expect us to have a team. I'm the kind of freedom guy, thats why Im in business, dont want a boss, not going for the money.
But there is a problem with success. I fear that if it will be successful, I'll have to partner with a CTO as I'm not the stronger tech guy. And I will not have time to do everything myself.
What I thought about is to contact people I read on the internet, anywhere on the internet. Its likely that they have a job but you never know. If they have time to write on the internet maybe they are not that busy. And I identified someone that I would like to partner with if needed.
This idea with dating a co-founder would be very useful. Even if you dont find or need a co-founder, just to meet like minded people is good. I'm happy I answered you because I understand you.
Thats exactly what I told an investor who approached me. It looks like these people look only for money/IPO and demanding from us not only a product but also to make an executive team.
I give up the big profit, I only care about "not caring for employees"
well I have 10k bookmarked domains alone, who knows how many booksmarks for each domain... Tell me how many MB is your bookmark file - if you use firefox - and I'll tell you mine, last time it was over 50MB.
Actually my Firefox became super heavy and I didnt investigate yet why. The problem is not bokmarking but to have a browser that can handle it.
So this is similar to crowdfunding except that we can ask what we want to be built ?
What I'm willing to pay for but cant easily develop myself is to add features from OSX to linux. Not too many, I'd start with:
- a graphical browser like Finder where I could color tag files.
- UI/UX: do something about easier configuration of the trackpad. Even when I installed linux on Macbook the trackpad does not work the same or does not have all the tapping actions instead of clicking. I cant even drag files/links to file-browser-sidebar/dock or such things.
I have many ideas just like others but whats important is that I dont have a job and nobody wants to employ me in IT. Its the only thing I can do, to try smth by myself. Recently I talked to a few people on Angel website and with a few of those I was about to have a Skype interview. But didnt get any response back. And I'm not the type of guy begging for a job.
So my idea is just what my passion is, I dont even know if people will need it. This is the only time I go by the saying 'build it and they will come'.
My only solution is to spend less and less time on the computer. I know I might never know as much as others have and I might never earn as much but I believe health is more important.
