The risk with that is, that you create a lot of island and switching between teams becomes difficult. Also, bias tends to crank up if it gets personal. (you literally see people judging sense of humor of the candidates, if they know they'll work with them closely). In general I think it's best to interview not knowing if the candidate will end up in your team/
Not a dedicated graduate job with a defined mentoring plan. But some graduates don't need much mentoring (or thrive better without a fixed plan). We're open to consider those.

I personally don't believe that financial inequity is a bad thing perse. So I don't have any strong feelings towards people who have more or less than I do.

Adyen is a leading payments company. We're looking for senior (Linux) System Engineers and also have 1 spot open in our SRE team.
You'll work on a distributed, real-time system with serious performance, availability and security requirements. Our engineers are constantly improving/renewing/upscaling our infrastructure. We prefer using tools/systems we can really tweak ourselves, and thus look for engineers that like to understand the internals of everything they use.
I'm assuming that you also don't share company secrets with regular candidates? I wouldn't be too afraid if your competitor learns a bit about team structure, culture, way of working. It's probably wise to share with the candidate that you won't cover too specific cases, and don't expect him/her to share that kind of information from their side.
