Do they have driver's licenses from a US state?

I think some are wondering if these overseas employees are driving cars in the US without a US driver's license.

there also quite a few apps, like many banking apps that refuse to work on a rooted phone.

What's weird, is that they are heuristic next token predictors. But that prediction, mixed with a little randomness is producing very seemingly "reasoned" responses.

My point is that NPR is only left-leaning in comparison to other US outlets. But they are centrist to right leaning from a political science perspective. And I certainly don't call everything I dislike extremist.

For example, does anyone really believe that no abortions, no exceptions, even in the case of rape of a minor is not extreme? We have 15 states right now in the US where that is the case and a large cadre of gop politicians that believe that is how it should be. And not only are those states enforcing this ban, some are going so far as to try to go after people who leave the state to get in many cases, life saving abortions.

I also think that unlimited abortion for any reason up until the moment of birth is an extreme position. Guess how many states in the US that is legal? It's zero.

"men's rights" is different from men's rights.

But anyone who has consumed a broad range of media today should understand that the term men's rights is generally highly loaded. Just like reverse racism and white genocide.

Ya, only if your Overton window has been knocked completely out of whack by right wing extremism.

I noticed the same thing in the US. When logged in I get mostly suggestions of stuff I tend to watch, which includes a few left leaning commentators and some more centrist news sources like NPR. If I check logged out, I get tons of right wing, own-the-libs type content with a lot of "men's rights" stuff.

Of course any code requires some refresher at time, but the difficulty and time required to figure it out again is a spectrum that goes all the way down to the seventh circle of hell.

But is "buy once, upgrade forever" really a viable long term business model?

I don't think that is an anti-pattern. One well secured point of access is better than various http access points with varying levels of security and maintenance levels, all requiring frequent manual update to stay secure.

Frameworks like react are a type of automation of coding. Any framework. Or any higher level language. Anything that isn't just entering ones and zeroes is already a level of automation in coding.

Is the worry that they will just go away overnight all at once, but it just hasn't happened yet? Because the current price of bananas sure doesn't indicate a shortage.

Well of course the business can have their own policies. I am just saying what the law is and what the IRS is allowed to require you to keep. You don't have to keep receipts. There are lots of other acceptable forms of documentation.

No, you are wrong. Sure, employers will all have their own rules. But I am talking about IRS substantiation.

The IRS lists out the different forms of documentation needed to support your expenses.

https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employe...

You can see right there under Expenses that credit card statements as well as cancelled checks are valid documentation for a write-off.

You don't need an invoice to make something a business expenses and or tax deduction.

Even in the case of an audit, the bank or credit card statement showing who the money was paid to is enough.

Now, if you are giving cash, you would definitely need an invoice.
