The best way to learn something is to explain it to someone else and exercise it. I find Obsidian and similar apps very useful for explaining concepts to myself.
Being able to publish it on my website forces me to be rigorous enough so that I can't leave matter unexplained or unclear.
Besides, If I forget it in the future (which happens a lot, especially as we're dealing with so much information now), I can read back a note explaining the matter, specially tailored for me, and update it with better/new info.
On the short run, you may find it cumbersome and slow but as time passes benefits are exponential.
