"The best thing governments can do to help people in these places is allocate as much spectrum as possible to the carriers. WiFi is obsolete tech. Even 5Ghz WiFi often barely works, let alone 6GHz"

I think that the billions of people that use WiFi every day for free would disagree.

That's a lot of headache for everyone that's pure onprem and spent the last year getting it working.

SCTP had already solved the problem that QUIC proposes to solve. Google of all companies has the influence to properly implement and accommodate other L4 protocols. QUIC seems like doubling down on a hack and breaks the elegance of OSI model.

Is this just to reduce the maintainenance resources for those chat archive or more that their future plans would be encumbered the legacy? Theyre doing this at the cost of removing peoples histories, the emotional log, their friendship memories, ability to relive their favorite moments together. All the dopamine kicks they get and a huge part of the social appeal and stickiness. With all the features their killing, they're removing functionality that is the core of their social success

There's some important information missing from this article.

How much methane was in the mixture? By what calculation is the density of Hydrogen 40kwh/kg? Shouldn't that be closer to 33kwh?

17 kWhr/kg of electricity per kg is a pretty great number, but impossible to know if that's a real improvement without knowing how much methane had to go in to it too.

I have been through this as well. My client accounts for 90% of my current work, but my laptop contains information about many other clients. Due to the excessive access and control that their spyware requires (Cortex XDR with complete remote access capabilities in this case), I was unable to use the same computer that I use for all other work. I have no choice but to use a separate computer unless I'd be willing to hand over all the information and assets I have for other clients, which I am not. In my case, the client was able to provide me a machine specifically to use with them. I would say that this is the new norm if you're doing long-term engagements with any company that pursues SOC2.

I think you are the first person that I have encountered that has a positive opinion of AMP.
