At times I'm completely locked out of a website and Cloudflare asks me to email the website owner to get the issue resolved.

.. how do they expect me to find the website owner's email if I can't access said website?

Disappointing to see 128 GB base storage. I thought they were done with that after all the iPhone 17 models got the bump to 256 GB.

At least for Windows, marking a WiFi connection from Public to Private solved a lot of connection issues for me.

Site's borked, but for those that were able to access it, is it like Ente's https://consent.gg/ ?

I thought you can take spacial photos/videos on iPhone and view it on the Vision Pro later?

https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/spatial-photos-record...

I don't have either so I don't know how well iPhone vs. natively taken photos/videos compare.

I don't hate low cost carriers. I absolutely want competition.

I was flying Spirit quite frequently. I'm well prepped. I have a backpack that is the maximum size allowed as a personal item, I carry an empty water bottle and a meal from home. They have an option where you can bid on exit row and big seats in advance. I'd bid the lowest amount ($4-10) and almost always win the upgrade.

Not everyone is aware of this though. I dislike businesses that prey on customers' lack of knowledge to bombard them with fees.

The guy next to me on a flight last year got hit with a $80 fee at the gate because his bag was an inch or so too big. It was his first time flying Spirit. It was cheaper for him to discard that bag and purchase a smaller bag for the flight back.

How much more nickel and diming is there left to be done? Standing seats? [1]

Very anecdotal evidence, but I was on a trip last week and Spirit was more expensive than American which is what I chose. I'm not loyal to any airline.

No one was at the gate hounding at people for bag sizes. I had Wi-Fi on the plane and got a drink and a small snack. My knees also appreciated the slightly longer legroom.

Joining the likes of Spirit Airlines, it seems. It's working out great for them, going through their second bankruptcy in less than 12 months.

Updated to iPadOS 26 on my iPad 9.

It's so laggy on the home screen now. Absolutely ruined the poor thing.

Base Pixel 10 is the same as iPhone 17 at USD 800.

Yes the Pixel 10 now has telephoto but they nerfed the cameras from the Pixel 9 for that.

In the Pro models for both the pricing is comparable, yeah.

Also realized that Apple charges $200 to jump from 256 GB to 512 GB. That's ridiculous.

256 GB base storage without a price increase is good to see.

Makes the Mac Mini look weird now with 256 GB base storage.

Pretty shameful of Google to stick to 128 GB on the Pixel 10.

Last I checked, Microsoft was trying to get rid of it.

https://www.tomshardware.com/software/windows/microsoft-elim...

It's still possible to set up using only a local account, but who knows for how long.

Appears to still be rolling out progressively - something that the release notes left out. I'm on 138.0 and I don't have it either.

There's some misunderstanding. It's 32 GB ROM, not RAM. RAM is 4 GB.

https://store.google.com/product/google_tv_streamer_specs

Seems pricey for what it offers. Just WiFi 5 - not even WiFi 6 or 6E, let alone WiFi 7. It doesn't even come with an HDMI cable, sigh.

15% seems reasonable. They're not only charging to cover payment processing, there are salaries to pay for those developing the app stores, the human app reviewers (virtually non-existent in case of Google Play), storage, bandwidth, etc.

Granted, both Apple and Google also earn money from ads (shame on Apple's part). In that case I can sort of see the justification to lower their cut to below 15%.

Google thankfully added a workaround/fix for that. "Liked your message" shows up as a reaction on Google Messages.

https://techcrunch.com/2022/03/10/googles-message-app-can-no...

In fact, the role's been reversed - the iPhone user now gets the "liked your message" text message while on Google Messages it shows up as a reaction.

For now.

Reddit's currently working on a UI/UX update for moderators on new.reddit (or newnew reddit as I like to call it since it's technically a second redesign) with an ETA of early 2024 [1]. According to them last year, 4% of users use old.reddit but carry out 60% of all moderating actions [2].

My guess is once that rolls out, they'll be ready to retire old.reddit.

The UI will live on though. There's mlmym [3] that allows you to use the interface on Lemmy. The instance of Lemmy I use has it on https://old.lemmy.world

Minecraft for Android has two storage locations in-game: Application (default, not accessible to users) and External (accessible to users by connecting their phone to a computer).

I cannot backup my worlds without either using a third-party tool, or paying Microsoft $4 for the privilege of uploading my world to their server (Realm), changing my storage location to External and then downloading it back. Ridiculous.
