I am going to stick to the ecosystem (Apple, Google or Microsoft) from now-onwards. Too many email apps tried - Sparrow, Mailbox, Newton, Inbox and now this. I have come to realize that the Mail app on Mac or Gmail just works. I can do without all those fancy features that were built into these apps.
We are a remote team and this is our setup:
- we use hipchat for real-time chatting with the team. We prefer it not be integrated into our pm tool.
- we use Brightpod as our pm tool of choice. Not only does it have kanban boards but also lets use message (not real time) our team members.
what I do is plan my personal tasks in Clear (without a due date) and Brightpod (http://www.brightpod.com). Luckily, Brightpod has a pretty powerful calendar that helps me plan my tasks on a weekly basis.
(copying my answer from above) - We run marketing campaigns and we spoke to others who had similar problems. Most PM/ Task tools are generic. We are betting on the fact that there are certain functions that are specific to marketing teams and people running these kind of features e.g. workflows to run a campaign, editorial calendar, integration with social networks etc...we'll see how it goes...:)
