(Almost) No-one is really offended by any of this. This is a purity test - it's about easily being able to identify people who still have any semblance of personal agency so they can be isolated and ostracized.
Enjoy another four years of Trump - that's what all these public purity tests and struggle sessions are bringing you towards. Unless you finally manage to get rid of private elections, that is. At this point, it wouldn't surprise me.
