Software engineer, just switched from using 2 monitors + laptop screen to a single curved 3440x1440 screen. Using Windows Powertools to partition the display into 3 columns with one side having 2 rows. So far working better for me.
Websites are still using Flash, not because better alteratives dont exist, but because of cost of redevelopment. HTML5 will do anything Flash will and isnt a giant security hole like Flash is.
Flash should be taken out behind the shed and shot, I removed it from my personal browsers years ago rather than deal with security issues.
I work on a large app, our tech stack is varied greatly. One section of the app is Flex :( The majority of the older stuff is a blend of some home grown libraries, ExtJS 2, 2.2, 3, 4, some YUI, and a boatload of "do what you want" CSS. The newer stack I developed for use on new or refactored pages uses RequireJS, jQuery, some plugins, and Bootstrap3
