My sister's friend is a nurse in Houston. Her hospital is one of the largest in Harris County and over the past month has gone from having one floor dedicated to Covid-19 patients to FOUR entire floors solely for Covid patients.
Shit is real, and will only get worse because complete fucking morons that can't see beyond their own little bubble think that just because things aren't completely screwed in their world, they aren't screwed elsewhere.
Just wear your fucking mask, stay the fuck inside unless absolutely necessary, and hope to holy fuck that you're not surrounded by people as stupid as your post makes you sound.
Taking every single function of a program and splorting them all into one giant chunk of text is not discoverability or anything near it. It's an info dump, which is pretty much the opposite of discoverability.
At this point anyone arguing against GUIs likely doesn't have to actually USE a computer, simply keep them running.
This is a two year old article about a different set of artifacts. They're hoarding shit that was stolen during wartime. Hobby Lobby are scumfuck pieces of shit and every last asshole involved in this needs to metaphorically burn.
And if you actually USED late 90's Gimp you'd know that there are so few buttons because there weren't actually any tools. Gimp was a complete joke and so feature-incomplete compared to Photosop, Paintshop, Corel Draw, or anything else that the only people that used it were literally too damn poor to afford other software or too ideologically driven to ever use closed source.
And what do you mean by "why aren't we in control of this?" "WE" are. Just download the source and fix it to your liking. Problem solved! It's open source!
People have been whining about Ubuntu's design philosophy since it began. Nothing new there.
Blender is only now turning into a useful piece of software for anyone that didn't grow up using Blender exclusively. They've finally pulled their head out and moved towards industry standard UI design rather than the godawful cluster of crap that it had for nearly two decades. It only seems complicated because, I assume, you do not use it terribly often and don't have much experience with 3d graphics programs in general. And yes, you can google where an icon is. You can also use the reams of documentation that exists.
GIMP sucks, has always sucked, and will always suck. Can't defend it at all.
GoPro has a decade+ old ecosystem built around their products. Go to any mountain bike trail, kayaking spot, climbing location, hiking trail, and ask around if anyone has a GoPro mount you can borrow, or a waterproof case. If there's more than a handful of people the answer WILL be yes. They managed to become the de facto standard for sports videography simply by offering a stupid number of accessories that nobody else thought of or thought was necessary. While each new generation has changed and improved the most important thing is that what they've never done is get worse.
They haven't been displaced because it would take a company fully committed to matching GoPro accessory for accessory. THAT is where the real advantage they have is.
Almost every manufacturer of electronics does something similar. It allows them to sell products at multiple price points without having to retool for literally every single SKU they make. Instead the only thing that's different is firmware and maybe some drivers.
This is not new. It's been going on for decades, and there's nothing wrong with it. You're getting exactly what you pay for and if you didn't pay for all the features... you don't get them.
Did it include anything about him screwing hundreds of people out of work and money by forging an illegal deal with other VFX houses to blacklist people that wanted to change jobs for better pay and treatment?
You are willfully conflating abstract concepts with known and provable facts. Whether you are doing this due to ignorance or malice, stop it.
"Is your company secure?" has no factual answer, as you state.
"LIBRULZ KILL AND EAT BABIES ON COURTHOUSE STEPS WHILE THE JESUS CRIES" Well... that's pretty damn easy to fact check. Oh, wait, there was nobody on the courthouse steps eating babies? Well shit, I guess that's a LIE.
How about instead of bitching at experts you bitch at the idiots that pump up and propagandize the results of one study that vaguely adheres to their predetermined outcome?
Kind of thought that this site would attract a slightly more intelligent group of people than that.
There's nothing "predatory" about assuring that your business partner actually has enough capital to operate a business. The startup costs may be significantly lower for a freestanding restaurant but you also have to shoulder the burden of marketing and establishing a customer base. A national chain doesn't just sit on its ass and collect money from franchisees. The costs of marketing and R&D are enormous but in the franchise model these things are offloaded from the individual restaurant to the parent company.
The parent company has no interest in that location ever closing. They're not house flippers or day traders. They rely on stable long-term income, not random tiny spikes a few times a year. Franchise fees are barely even a blip on the radar of a company like McDonald's.
That is not money laundering. If you want money laundering go have a look at what goes on with Trump properties. Real estate changing hands with massive variances in value, well out of step with market influence.
The entire concept of money laundering requires the money be illegally obtained. Simply moving money that you legally acquired around is not money laundering. Stop using words you do not know the meaning of.
That's 100% what they mean. They're a magahatter that can't keep their mouth shut but don't have the balls to open it in front of anyone that will call them on their bullshit.
