Currently a postdoc at the U. Toronto interested in data science positions. Physics PhD from U. Chicago from 2018. I have spent the majority of my postdoc by analyzing various astrophysical datasets. To add to my well developed analytical and research skills, for the past two years I have been preparing for the transition into industry by taking Coursera courses, reading up on the various data science topics and playing around with various real world datasets.

Looking for a full time position.

Yeah, as a cosmologist my reading of the DES results is exactly the opposite than what the article mentions - new DES results seem to show that one mystery (low values of S_8 in the low redshift measurements) was actually resolved..

The problem was that the green (CMB/Planck) and gray (weak lensing) curves in the past were not overlapping as well as they are now. To me the tension seems to mostly go away now.
