i ve been using this little piece of magic (freeware obviously) for about 3 years now, after trying paper, evernote, etc : http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/5371/ToDoList-A-simple-b....
with the level of the granular control i can use it as todolist calendar, whatever. like the simplicity and intuitiveness.
so todolist work for me just fine
I am sorry, but to be honest chrome noteboks are nothing more than just a fad that will pass, sort of like windows zune. not sure about netbooks but i still like hem. and i bought second one recentlty.
Excellent response, to my flame-bait about monkeys in the first comment :) I personally respect technical guys more than the said business co-founders...
Wow a real flame bait.
i suggest another topic to discus here on HN:any monkey can learn to code, and read manuals all day lon. some monkeys get an ego and start thinking that. they are somehow more hardworking or smarter. not true. you just a monkey that can read and obbey instructions in the book.
if it quacks like a duck, that it must be a.. paypal?
or how are you guys different from paypal, again?
something about third party developers....how are you going to atract 3rd-parties if I as a consumer after reading post and comments still do not understand what your service does, and what are the benefits...apart from privacy - this stuff is just plain pointless in this day and age....
IMHO: don't see no problem or valuable advice in the post above. If you are really interested in helping person, you will explain the need for specifics. If not, you'll give an answer you gave.
sorry if it was already posted, i probably missed it - overall an interesting read, and somewhat different view from most of the "5 things/ideas/points" type of articles on HN lately.
Yeah, for the thing with mornings and evenings is that in the evenings i am a total dumb-dumb. in the mornings i am overflowinh with ideas, projects etc. so thereis.serious hain for me when
motorized table base can be bought for ~500$ ( http://www.tablelegworld.com/Motorized-Table-Legs )and then any spare table top can be attached to these - not that expensive in my opinion - and you get a working thing rather than some book or brick based hack which sucks in the long term
lots of good points from both sides, me thinks there is a growing need for change in the field of education, since the cost, mediocrity, and opportunity cost of education is growing at an alarming rate.
I do not know know what would solution be - maybe some more real life experiences injected in the education - say 6 month study/6 month real life - work, startuping, whatever. me thinks that would provide more opportunities for young people than another course on greek philosophy instead.
education needs to be disrupted, thats how I feel after I finished uni.
a note from poor european:
there is this desk that i've been salivating at for quite some time, trully love it for the design, saw it in some danish office - they are very popular over there: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Works...
but not quite ready to take the plundge and spend a fortune. on the other hand - im really surprised how expensive these sit/stand desks are - they are no more than couple motors, 2 legs and a table top - why the hefty pricetags...
i believe there is some unconvencional value in the advice in the article for the intraverted dudes with low self esteem like me. Given any hypothetical opportunity people like me will evaluate the chances of the positive outcome of the opportunity lower than extravert dudes with higher esteem, and will reject the opportunity outright. While your advice suggests the default behavior, the advice above stresses the need to increase the number of attempts, irregardless of whether they are successful or not, and by the law of large numbers, this might result in higher probability of positive outome/s.
Therefore, setting the goal of being rejected more often, might be more productive than waiting for the "right" opportunity to acieve the desired outcome.
