There's a tradition of Jewish mysticism that says the Universe was created out of letters and numbers, by combining them and permuting them. E.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sefer_Yetzirah.
Gospel of John also starts with the Word, which by and through all things were made.
I don't know about the rest of my large FAANG company, but in my meetings only managers turn their cameras on. I know another high profile tech CEO recently told his employees to feel free to turn their cameras off (in an internal town-hall meeting).

IMHO not sharing my medical records with private companies is a good thing.
This is kind of out there, but this book provides a cross-cultural overview of the idea of collective beings created by human religious practices, nationalisms, etc.
