Can you compare Minicor to Convey? They seem very similar. We had a product demo of Convey wherein they showed us how you could train the agent to use legacy software using a simple shared screen capture and verbal instructions.

I second this! I'd love to have this for PA or NJ.

I agree 100%. When I purchased my Steam Deck, I was actually surprised that it was so easy to switch between Steam profiles. Last year, my wife and I tried Apple Vision Pro. While we aren't the target audience for a $3,500 headset, we might be tempted at $1,200. But not if each of us needs to buy our own.

Agreed. There is a wide price difference between running a managed AWS or Azure MySQL service and running MySQL on a VM that you spin up in AWS or Azure.

I was at a conference in Phoenix in November and took seven Waymo trips during my stay. Four of those were fairly long (20-minute) trips. I preferred Waymo to the Uber/Lyft experience because it felt private. It was just me and my colleagues in the car, no strangers. It also felt futuristic and novel, which I'm sure will wear off. We experienced no weird or erratic driving, with one minor exception... Waymo always followed the speed limit. On a major road where the speed limit was 40mph, other cars were zipping around us at 55mph+. And, one parking lot had 5mph speed limit signs posted. As you can imagine, Waymo was the slowest vehicle in that parking lot by a wide margin.

I've used the minio-go client library for about a year now. I don't see anything in the minio-go README or elsewhere to make me think it will no longer be supported. In fact, the most recently merged PR was yesterday. There are some other Go S3 clients, like https://github.com/kelindar/s3, but I don't know if any other Go S3 clients have the complete set of features that minio-go has.

I've struggled with weight my entire life (I'm in my forties). Back in 2019, I lost 80 pounds. I carefully regulated my calorie intake to 1,800 per day. I discovered I have an absolutely terrible sense of portion size, and absolutely never feel "full" or satiated. I also made it a point to close all three Activity rings on my Apple Watch every day. I felt better, I had more energy, and I was able to enjoy more things in my day-to-day life. Even with all of those positives, a series of difficult life events during the first year of COVID took me out of my routine, and I haven't been able to bounce back. I would like to try a GLP-1 to see if it could give me a boost in the right direction again. I have no interest in being on it, or any medication, forever.

Thankfully, I've never been addicted to anything other than food. I never liked alcohol, nor did I get any positive feeling from it. So, I don't drink. I've never been enticed by drugs, so I've never used them. I went to Atlantic City once, but have never gambled another day in my life. Being spared from these other addictions isn't a matter of my amazing willpower. I'm simply not drawn to those addictions. Nor do I think that people who battle those addictions simply have a lack of willpower. I believe it's much deeper than that.

I agree that celebrating a medication as a cure-all solution is problematic. But, I don't think that's what most people think about GLP-1s. I think most most people simply want, and deserve, a little help in a difficult and complex world.

My kids both have creative hearts, and they are terrified that A.I. will prevent them from earning a living through creativity. Very recently, I've had an alternate thought. We've spent decades improving the technology of entertainment, spending billions (trillions?) of dollars in the process. When A.I. can generate any entertainment you can imagine, we might start finding this kind of entertainment boring. Maybe, at that point, we decide that exploring space, stretching our knowledge of physics and chemistry, and combating disease are far more interesting because they are real. And, through the same lens, maybe human-created art is more interesting because it is real.

Neal Agarwal (Neal.Fun) did something similar a while back with cool WebGL effects. https://neal.fun/size-of-space/

I recently booked an Amtrak trip for my family from Trenton, NJ to Kissimmee, FL for a Disney vacation. There are 7 of us, so we qualified for a decent discount. It ended up being just under $150 per person round-trip. We chose Amtrak because my dad cannot fly due to some medical issues. For the week we're traveling, it's significantly cheaper than airfare, we get more space, more bags, and it feels like an adventure.
