We keep our stack simple and that doesn’t mean boring. The backend is a Rails monolith, Postgres, plus a few tiny services in Ruby, Node or Bun.

I post this thread on HN. I honestly can't understand why they would deprecate the Unpublished App option. Was a win win for everyone. Using their Billing API makes sense when you building a business on top of theirs... but it's not our case.
If a private corporation releasing an update to its code base to allow its own service to keep working brings us into WWIII... the root cause of the WWIII is definitely not the code update.
Accelerating growth is definitely on our radar. We took a different road up to this point, but I expect our future to be more similar to a regular tech business now that we're set on solid ground.
