We have Mandrill implemented in a lot of past projects and can't easily switch now. We'll get the mandatory MC account there, while screaming F U to them.
What we can and will do is dissuade all future clients from using Mailchimp.
This is my partner in a nutshell. Some of the scenes are a little over the top (bowling example) but it makes the point.
I had the same impression with digital cameras, seeing visitors to my local botanic gardens wonder through and look at everything through a small lcd screen on the back of their camera, they weren't really seeing what's there or experiencing it, they were just trying to frame a picture so they couldn't see the subtleness and feel the peace that's at this place.
You see it all the time at concerts too. I'm guilty of it myself.

This should be brought to public attention but the public don't want to have to download 2.8 gb of data and filter through it. Someone has to do that first and make it easily digestible, highlighting the worst or most 'dangerous' emails.
The article gave me hope. Then when I clicked through to the website and looked at the ingredients, I was let down. The 'chicken strips' seem only marginally better than the soy sausages in our supermarkets already. I guess I was expecting some miraculous new ingredient. It's nice they have amaranth in there but it doesn't exactly seem groundbreaking.
An outdated look that shouldn't have got past concept stage. More importantly though, it still feels super sluggish for me in the latest version of Safari. I won't be visiting anymore that normally do, which is about 1-2x a month, despite knowing there is some decent content there.
