This, unfortunately, seems like the most plausible explanation. "President" Musk is dicking with the system, like S3XY. Remember that he's gaining control and also believes reality is a simulation, and keeps a Vajra on his night stand. I see him as a future Ashoka, who, waking up to the harm he has manifested goes all in on the Triple Gems.

You fool! And I say that affectionately. Another fool says: the security of Bitcoin relies on the inability to (among other things) derive a private key from a public key. This is just basic cryptography, like Turning vs enigma. This machine can "calculate" solutions to problems in time frames that break the whole way that cryptocurrency works. You better believe that what we hear about is old. These types of systems, and there must be non-public versions, could solve a private key from a public key, in easy less than O(fu) time.

EDIT: it's like rainbow hashes, but every possible variation is a color, not granular like binary, but all and any are included.

Come on now, please don't be mean! I'm pragmatic and JavaScript has been capable of exploiting speculative execution issues for a long time. I feel like I'm being cautious, and don't feel fearful, but, you, like my beloved family member, seem to think I'm the crazy one.

Thank you for your response. I'm sorry, because now when I read my original submission I see that it is ambiguous. The "terrible idea" that causes my beloved family member grief is not the dead internet theory. I intentionally didn't share the scary idea that they've latched on to. My question about the dead internet theory is related to my (perhaps foolish) idea that sharing the truth of ambiguity re online content might help. And then, trying to find a good source for the Dead Internet theory, I couldn't!

You, my dear Internet friend, are confidently expressing your lack of experience. No one who has played multiplayer LAN games, or low latency Internet games, could or would ever say that streaming gaming, such as the dead stadia, or moonlight, whatever, are comparable to the alternative, Nah, they couldn't.

Ok, this is clearly not helped by the x post mentioning free voice interface for all free participants. Imagine how overwhelmed the infrastructure must be now. Why cause this problem? So much intrigue

From what's been said a plausible explanation could be the sama was being courted by saudi investors, incl vision fund, to make AI silicon, for 100 billion dollars, and wasn't upfront with the board. Who knows, total speculation, but definitely grounds for dismissal. Of course he was probably a managed asset, and who knows what kind of complexity is behind the scenes. OpenAI has a very valuable product. Not supporting any ideology here, but the Russian president said that whomever controls AI controls the world. Well, anyway, AI will be a useful tool for technological advancement. It can definitely solve problems.

EDIT: meaning it's important that the AI isn't given problems whose solution harms beings, at all, let alone war- not even by carbon emissions into the atmosphere.

Not everyone says the universe comes to a final end. Hindus and Buddhists believe in cycles, and Abrahamic religions believe in eternal heaven. Even scientists wouldn't all say that the universe conclusively comes to an end. It's one religion of many. You don't have to believe that one!

As a computing hobbyist, with young children, it's difficult to find time to sink my teeth into a problem. Recently I tried using the paid version of ChatGPT to write a client and server for a friend's project. Although the generated code is not yet in its final form, it does work and I'm sharing it now. All of the code for both the client (dart) and server (rust) was generated by the AI, based on prompts I provided. It was a collaborative and iterative process, and really eye opening.

I'm thinking of live streaming an AI programming session, building a multi channel PID controller from scratch, if there's interest...
