This completely ignores the fact that delivery guys work efficiently when they deliver mail sequentially. It makes no sense to have some weird address resolution system when they need your physical address to plan their routes properly
The problem is really android permissions. If an app wants to identify me by accessing my IMEI the prompt shouldn't be "Allow this app to make phone calls". It is very misleading because it falls under such a large umbrella without informing the user of anything useful.
> I later learned this man’s real name was Armin Schmieder. He was Italian, but lived in Freiburg, Germany. He was a father to a young child. He was 28.
this pisses me off so much. Why would anyone but that irresponsible?
Asking businesses to rewrite apps in a different language is a non-starter. It adds no value. The app is already there, written in c#. Why rewrite it in f#?
There has to be some reason to write something in F#, usually the reason is functional programming, which excels in manipulating data. However most programs rarely manipulate data. They show a UI, get some input from a user or server, save, retrieve, re-display in a different form. These kinds of programs work very well when written in imperative languages compared to functional ones.
Interestingly the author provides so many reasons why you should use small functions, and less convincing reasons why you should not. Generally, smaller functions are better than the problems that come with their implementations.
Also is it normal to add so many tweets to an article?
The premise of his argument is still wrong. That somehow because women are women (whatever that means, they are ill suited for a job that requires only mental effort).
Are womens brains inferior to mens? hell no. so stop it right there.
Maybe the audience is already grown? I mean it's being used by presidents and heads of states and is a major communication tool for businesses and governments. Maybe it's just not hip anymore.
Bet he voted to "make America Great again". I feel for him but i believe the signs were there about the field he was working in, it's like a car sputtering and running out of gas. The solution would be reeducation, rather than trying to do the same dying job over and over gain.
