this is the reason I loved the Ricoh GR series of cameras, an APS-C sensor that genuinely fits in almost any pocket is incredible, it's not for everyone but I wish there were more companies trying this, even the X100 cameras are too big for that
that's definitely got a lot of stuff too, though from what I've seen the PPOOLL stuff seems a bit more high level closer to bespoke synth, I guess the ideal thing is something that spans both, though bespoke is one of the easiest to use ones I've seen yet which is nice
the other link has a little, it's kinda just something i've seen around in different places when I was super curious about his music and how you'd produce stuff like that, specific ones I can find right now are in random threads[1] and in a red bull music interview he talks about it a tiny bit[2]
damn, I've been looking for something similar to Max/PPOOLL but more accessible (especially on windows/linux) after reading about Tim Hecker using it and this seems like it could get to that point
A big distinction for me is not having a nice UI for level design and 'arranging' everything that isn't the code, though a lot of the other aims do seem pretty similar
I think it's actually pretty common that when a fairly typical thing is written in a newer/modern/less common language, it's often stated as "X written in <new language>"
yeah there is some absolutely questionable stuff there, I wonder why searching for VK brings them all up, some of these seem like random direct-to-youtube uploads but there's so many of kids that it almost seems like someone's collection, but why does a search for VK return them all? seems like a strange coincidence that there'd be troubling image results and empty normal results
I've found wayland still has strange input, if there's a lot of CPU usage going on (something compiling or whatever) then the mouse and keyboard input will 'lag' and get stuck, plus it feels worse in games to me but the benefits seem really good, I hope wayland can keep improving so I can switch without it feeling worse for me
