Well - there's like another thousands factors that compound this.. Meager examples: - For the last X number of decades it's been beat into the 1st worlds brain that humanity is a scourge on the Earth (climate change - pollution, deforestation, forever chemicals etc). - Common theme among young people that children as just a burden and would get in the way of you "experiencing the world" or "doing the things you really want to do". - Cost of everything seemingly pushed as far as society can take it.

Conditionally speaking, I feel like it's rather hard to be positively disposed to the idea of having children in America.

Pretend you like your job, your area, and your community for a moment - you come into work one day and you find out that someone had tagged your dumpster. Does it only degrade trash corp llc? Or you do you feel an effect? Does it echo outside your company, how do your neighbors perceive it?

Someone drives past, that has no overlap all at with any of those factors.. they're gonna have an internal reaction too.

I guess if someones a fan of burning society down you can make a pitch that there's some progress being made by someone spraying their tag handle on some symbol of capitalistic structures.. but I have a hard time seeing depth of meaning from an act that's usually ego-driven(tagging).

I think it's still accurate if someone looks outside their own bubble.

Communication, opportunity, and opening a world of experiences are definite positives and I'd say a necessary growth path; but the current structure and experiences includes an infinite amount of negative.

It would've been nice if we could've avoided the 'systemic filth' (not talking sexual, more just the ever growing mass of problems associated with digital existence) or shown more care/thought when it comes to the effects on people beyond the 'hey look a shiny new idea'(and maybe not just leaning into creations even harder because there's a audience for it), but it kinda comes with the territory with human growth.

TLDR: A mildly nihilistic take overall, oops.

They're probably just angry because there's no obvious path with BYD for them to provide kickbacks and become a board member after their 'public service' stint.

Good - anything we can do that minimizes the amount of influencer-related personality disorders we have in society the better. (:
