This dude isn't even a "Competent Php dev". Once this guy posted a new cms, and within minutes people in /r/php were spotting security vulnerabilities..and this dude was like "Duh..didn't drink enough coffee!"...
Author is a well known spammer from /r/php and is probably someone who suffers from delusions of grandeur, and hence is a self declared authority in /r/php. Also is was a failed Hacker in the past who is now on a 'crusade' to cleanse php of any security vulnerabilities..
Currently works as a spammer for the domain in the link, and seems to have a monthly quota of spammy articles to meet from his boss...

If someone smart want to sell bullshit here, they will do so in the most respectful and polite manner and the most dangerous part, they will do so by wrapping it up in things that are most appealing to people here.
So, say, you want people to give you their money, they will come here and say, give me your money or just talk about me, because the world down here is ending and I will take you to the stars.
People everywhere at all times, didn't think twice when someone offered them salvation....You may be smart. But 'people' everywhere, in sufficient quantities, is dumb.
It is easy to be honest when the implication is that the money will be used to fund "Mars colonies", and won't be used for his private comforts.
Only that every business operate on a similar premise.
"Oh, we just need more revenue so that we can build a bigger shop for you where you can buy more stuff with less effort!"
The world wont be saved by going to Mars or going electric. The world will be saved by fixing "people". Because that is what is hopelessly broken at the core.
But no one will do it because people being broken, is the foundation stone of our current system of existence and it gets no one excited as going to mars or some bullshit "idea" like hyperloop or ubeam...
If the world you live requires you to be a hyper conformist, to lead a peace full, happy life, will you raise your children as a free thinker?
For example, will you encourage the child to question you and talk back when you ask him/her to do something, if encouraging it might cause them problems/conflicts later in life?
