FYI, the author of this piece has a long and terrible history of being a generally evil person. She has written in the past about blaming poor people for losing their jobs, arguing against the concept of health insurance, and generally attacking poor or disenfranchised people for their misery. I wouldn't take any article written by McCardle seriously.
