We're currently living a pandemic and a lot of stores aren't accepting cash because they're wanting to avoid transfer of germs. I'm even observing hand sanitizer being rightfully used after needing to examine ID.
There's no real conclusive science for what you're proposing. The body could be impacting the mind and altering one's personality but we haven't learned enough about the brain to really know for certain. Opinions on this topic are likely from anecdotal experiences and not real science.
I find the amount of rejections "most" have to experience before landing a decent job somewhere, to be soul crushing and when life can already be very depressing.
It would be nice if one's ability was easily measured by a history of completions and then graded.
It would also be nice if life wasn't so competitive for surviving and for not ending up homeless. I pity the young generation that doesn't have real family that supports them until they make it somewhere.
I think of consciousness as a feeling and nothing more. Similar to the feeling of free will, both are an "illusion" and we're not actually aware or free. The universe is made of instructions that everything follows and including us. We believing in awareness is just instructions for how we operate as subsystems of the Universe and like or unlike other subsystems of the universe. I find the idea simpler to grasp if you think of the Universe just bruteforcing every possible sequence of patterns and where we eventually have subsystems assuming they have awareness & free will.
