I'm a heavy feeld user, loved the article. Author has some rose tint to their glasses, but feeld is excellent - at least in NYC.
As with any dating app, local userbase is key, so other locations may be far worse.
Some other commenters have doubts about "emotional maturity;" I think feeld encourages users to be their most authentic selves, and that takes some maturity. If you don't have it, and try to play normal dating games, you won't last there.
AMA for a heavy user, I guess? I'm probably an 8, cis tall white man in his late 20s. Mostly looking for consistent hookups, mostly women.
A few hours, I realized pretty quickly that the resolution was a problem for text readability. I don't see how virtual monitor distance would help; I found the minimum size for readable text to be unacceptably large.
As soon as pixel density ~quadruples, I'll make a serious effort at switching to VR for work.
Yes. The reverb's software and general UX are quite a bit worse than the Quest. Many would say that the only real contenders in the space are the Quest and Valve Index, and the Quest wins on both price and resolution.
Trivial counterexample: I can't make an Apple M1 chip in my garage. I can't make (good?) LSD in my garage. I can put a metal pipe on a board with a nail and have a simple, reliable 12ga shotgun. I can 3d print a 22LR pistol, or even a 9mm subgun (just add pipe for barrel, weight for bolt, and some common springs).
I assume your response was probably born out of some political frustration, and I respect that. Happy to discuss specifics of the this position on the practicality and effectiveness of gun bans.
I believe a critical part of this is false: Citadel does not front run on order flow (front running is illegal).
They buy order flow from robinhood because retail traders don't know what they're doing, and that goes doubly for Robinhood, making their order flow generally random noise.
Institutional order flow is not random, and is often right; processing winning trades is less profitable than random ones, and so Citadel pays more for RH order flow.
