The real inconvenient truth is that Smart Cities are by definition totalitarian. Big Brother is watching your every move. Everything you do is registered by some networked system and subject to ML analysis.
For the next 50-100 years we at least have an alternative of moving to some remote area in rural Pakistan where are no "smart" IoT technologies, and where you can still pay in cash. After that we are doomed to live in some dystopian dictatorship.
It's simple: there are just a few defining traits for each race: skin colour, hair, shape of the eyes and nose. There are just few genes that control those.
There are also hundreds or thousands of genes that control other traits, such as genetically conditioned diseases, immune system, IQ, physical endurance, character traits, etc.
That's why if you measure diversity by number of genes you can get such a seemingly paradoxical result.
I think that the worst enemy of capitalism, is paradoxically, the stock market. Original idea behind capitalism was that entrepreneur is building his company for a profit, and to reach that profit he must take a risk. Because of the risk involved one must be very careful and make well-thought business decisions because bankrupting the company meant bankrupting its owner.
Now, with a stock market the valuation of your company is tied to a public perception of how your business is doing, not to how it is actually doing. That's why companies publish non-GAAP financial reports (non-GAAP basically means "bullshit") - after posting higher-than-expected profits your stocks skyrocket, so you sell some of them, turning some of that "perception" into a real cash.
Being publicly traded also gives you easy way out if something goes wrong - just sell all your stocks and you are in the clear.
Plus, as a majority shareholder you can hire a CEO and use him as a scapegoat in any illegal activity your company chooses to engage in.
Privately held companies are much better in terms of holding their owners accountable for company's actions.
In such traditional, Catholic society as Poland women often choose the same careers as men: IT specialists, managers, business owners. In a progressive such as Norway they much more often choose careers such as nurse or teacher.
The reason behind this is economics: in Norway teacher or nurse salary guarantees pretty decent standard of living. In Poland these are very low pay jobs. So, women when given a choice will choose traditional women professions because that's their nature.
In fact I think women are more hurt by the opposite: the feminist movement that teaches them that they should want the same things men want. And the one thing that is virtually guaranteed to make women happy, that is having a child is discouraged as being "relict of patriarchal oppression" or something like that.
