It looks pretty nice. My pet peeve with "modern" web design is that it has become, objectively, very effeminate. Uber tends to leans more neutral to slightly masculine.
Things have changed a lot since 2012. The Keto/Paleo/LCHF movement has definitely increased demand for new cooking oils, including animal fats. At Whole Foods, I regularly see beef and duck tallow + pork (lard) prominently displayed now.
The difference is that if you're an IC you generally have to produce actual work that will be evaluated at some point. It's of course possible to BS your way into showing your manager you did more than you actually did or better than what you actually produced. If you're in management, then your job becomes mostly talking/meetings, which is much more conducive to "hand waving," which is probably why there are so many BSers who end up thriving in those roles.
Literally everywhere? I don't think I've worked in a work environment to date where at least half of anyone in a management position was not a complete BSer. It honestly made me wonder if that's what it takes to move up.
For all the perma-bears out there...Bitcoin is well off last year's low and now around $5500. Crypto has been trending up for weeks. Some top tokens like BNB (Binance's token) are at all time highs.
I have never had a good experience with weed personally...it just seems to make me paranoid, tired, and I feel like I can't do anything for the rest of the day and at least half the day the next.
Conversely, I've had amazing experiences with small doses of lsd and shrooms. They've made me feel more alert, creative, and more optimistic.
I'm always surprised when people who are otherwise obsessed with productivity (in tech, finance) tell me they enjoy weed because it seems to enable the exact opposite effect.
This shouldn't be surprising. If you're on an employer-based healthcare plan, a HDHP only makes sense if you're young, healthy, have no dependents, don't take expensive medication, and your employer pays most of the annual cap into your linked HSA.
I fit most of those checkboxes, but I take PrEP (preventative HIV med) that is something like $1500/month before deductible, and the math for HDHP vs traditional plan does not check out in that case at all.
When I switched to a low/no carb diet my gums were much less inflamed and stopped experiencing bleeding in my gums (w/ regular flossing). I also stopped getting that "filmy" feeling in my mouth when I'd occasionally sleep/take a nap before brushing after a carb-heavy meal.
I've been looking on Redfin for potential investment properties in SF but I cannot find a single home on the market where rent would remotely cover the mortgage.
