Simple rule, if it tastes good it is unhealthy.

And if I am paying relatively decent amount of money I will pick something that tastes good. Why would I go out of my way and get unseasoned steamed vegetables in restaurant? Or salad without sauce...

That’s a stupid rule. It’s easy to homecook delicious and healthy meals. Don’t use healthiness as an excuse to make food without sauce or seasoning.

Vegetable salad with a bit of olive oil and salt/pepper is delicious and very healthy. Most Americans just don’t know how to eat.

But would you buy that at a restaurant? I will always get something extravagant and probably unhealthy because if it weren’t I would just make it at home.

Sure, why not? I don't go to restaurants (usually) because I'm getting something I can't make at home.

Of course. I grew up with it and I literally always crave a good salad. Most Middle Easterns do.

Healthy food doesn't mean unseasoned food.

Be wary of any study claiming x is universally "unhealthy". Context matters.

Not really. Excess sugar, fat, carbs, saturated fats is unhealthy, no matter what.

I'm pretty sure it's almost %100 because I have never seen or heard one that does not use vegetable oil, which is poison by itself, but much more when they use it to fry food - over and over - and it keeps producing more and more trans fat!

That's natural, because people want food that is both cheap and tasty at the same time. Just like with software that can be quick to build, cheap, or high quality, you can't have more than two at the same time and people naturally choose unhealthy over pricey or bland. People should only blame themselves.

The title reads like it's from The Onion or Daily Mash.

I'm surprised. I assumed that percentage would have been much higher.
