Like my LinkedIn summary says, I've spent many years developing brochure websites with internal CMSes, Dreamweaver, etc. But for the last 3 years I've been focusing on modern web technologies.
You probably want to look up the .net sub on reddit and ask your question there. I think most .net devs use Angular on the frontend, though React/Vue are popular as well. In addition, there is an experimental frontend technology that a lot of .net devs are playing with called Blazor.
Your interview actually sounds like a fun process. I've been really frustrated with all of this lately. I don't know what I should be focusing on. Should I grind LeetCode/HackerRank, work on personal projects, or read CTCI a million times (ugh)? I love working on projects more than trying to solve problems on LeetCode/HackerRank.
This is pretty typical of Western Canada. I'm not shocked at all. You're talking about an area of Canada that is all about oil, gas, and mining--natural resources. The tech industry is non-existent out here with the exception of Vancouver. I also heard that this particular company is notorious for letting you go if you don't catch on quickly. If I were her, I'd run far away from this joke of a tech company.
